10 things i am lovin' on Thursday...

10. I was coming home from Richfield the other day and this song came on the radio. It made me smile immediately. This song came out right after Ryan and I officially "started dating" in high school. I loved this song. I bought her C.D. and we listened to it when we were together.

(blogger hates me today and I have no idea what is going on with this post???!!??)

Strawberry Wine - Deana Carter

9. I have a Love/hate relationship with exercise. I love the way I feel after I am done...but I hate doing it. I have decided I needed an exercise goal. I have decided to run a 5k and I am trying to talk everyone into doing it with me. I have Alicia on board, Ryan says yes (sort of under protest), my sister is in, and we talked her husband into doing it with us. I have started training at 5:30 in the morning...I hate running, but I like the energy it gives me through the day.
So if any of you runners out there have some tips for me... throw them my way!!

8. I love having a husband who does laundry. I think it only makes him "hotter". He probably doesn't think so, but I do...

7. While my sweet and awesome husband was folding laundry he was watching Celebrity Apprentice. We have never watched this before, but it was pretty entertaining. I loved it..which leads me to my #6 favorive thing...

6. Jesse James was on the show. If anyone doesn't know who he is he builds motorcycles and is the owner of West Coast Choppers. I have never heard him really talk much and he looks like a scary biker man with tattoos...but now I love him... there had to be a reason why the "cute and lovable" Sandra Bullock would marry him.

come on now, He has cooked with Martha...

and he looks pretty darn good dressed up...

Well, he was sooooo cute on this show. I just kept saying to Ryan, "I like him sooo much". He was sincere, hard working, and almost cryed during the boardroom scences. He is the reason that I will keep watching this show... I just liked him soooo much!!

5. I love spending time with my family. This last weekend we went to St. George for Dylan's birthday.
We went to Jumpin' Jacks...
Aniston loved it...

Emerson did not...
so instead she and Grandma Verna put on lipstick and looked pretty...

I was having a good time, Ryan and I was running around and racing and then I almost peed in my pants and then I decided Jumpin' jacks was not for me??!!??

This is the response I got from my family when I asked them if they were having a good time...

4. I have tried to quit, really I have!!

But I love Coke...and it is bad for me, but I love it, and I don't care. One a day is not going to kill me, right?

3. I love little girls and I love dance recitals. Aniston's dance recital was a couple of weeks ago. She was so beautiful and did such a good job. She is left handed and this year in their dance she had to do a right legged leap. It was hard for her to do, but she practiced every day and worked so hard to get it right.

Check out those facial expressions, no front teeth and all.

Gosh, I just don't think she could get any cuter. I just think that she is amazing and beautiful and I love her more than words can say!!

2. I love finding new cute fabric. It totally inspires me to make cute stuff. I just found the sweetest esty shop with the cutest fat quarters in them. I am going to make me a purse and the girls some dresses. Yea!! I can't wait!!

1. I love my mom and my grandma so much! And I love them for coming to work in my "sweat shop". Whenever I need them they are always there (like when I have to make 24 aprons and they come to iron and sew). You guys are the best.

Mom, I just want you to know that no matter what mean things "people" say to you or about you, I know that you are the most amazing person in the world. I love you and my girls love you and we don't know what we would do without you in our lives. So hold your head up high and know that you are fantastic and beautiful and special and WE LOVE YOU!!

A giveaway

in honor of my new nephew, Xander.

I made these for my sister and I had some stuff left over and so I made a few extras.

Here is the Backstory:
When I was pregnant with Aniston someone that I worked with gave me cloth diapers.
"What the heck??? Cloth diapers! Well I am never going to use these." I remember saying to my mom.

Well they turned out to be the best burb cloths EVER!!
I have seen them "made-over" and here is my take on the "trendy diaper/burb cloth."

The giveaway is the set you see above. It is 3 cute boy burb cloths.

I thought about having you tell me your favorite thing about babies, but who am I kidding, everything about babies is great.

So give me a # 1-50.
I am on the phone with my sister and she just picked the winning # and she also told me that they are super soft and she loves them!

If you haven't commented before, now's the time!

And even if you live out of state you can win. I have shipped to Tennessee and Nevada for my other giveaways, so please play along!!

I will announce the winner on Saturday.
Thanks for playing and thanks for reading :)

This is how I know...

*****Update*****

The baby now has a name. Meet Alexander Eddie Mattinson, but he'll go by Xander. They are home and everyone is doing great.

This is how I know that there is a God and that He is great and wonderful. He creates these beautiful and amazing little beings who forever touch our lives and we are never, ever the same.

Sweet little baby Mattinson was born at 8:28 a.m. on March 11. He weighed 5 lbs. and 14 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. The biggest Mattinson baby yet. Mommy and baby are doing so well.

My sister is amazing and I feel so blessed to have been there with her during this special time in her life. I love you both!!

The big brothers were so excited to meet him...

10 on Tuesday

10. I am loving tea right now...It's warm and it's yummy, and I sneak away from my kiddies at about 4 in the afternoon and have a cup. I get to think about the day and get ready to make dinner and end the day...

9. I love Sunday afternoons with my husband. After church in Axtell we went to Home Depot and picked out tile for our bathroom. I am excited about having a new bathroom. Him not so much about starting another major project.

8. I love playing in Photoshop.

7. I love that my grandparents are coming home very soon. My grandma and I have talked about taking a quilting class for a long time.

I went to Gunnison to the quilt shop and they have the cutest things right now and have classes.
We are going to take one so that I can learn how to make

<------------------------ this quilt for the girls room. (but with pink and brown) 6. I love that I made a decision about the girls room. Pink and brown it is... 5. I love this Blog. Lauren makes me smile everyday. She is so cute and sooo funny. http://busybeelauren.blogspot.com/

She loves comments so stop by and say Hi...

4. I love hearing old songs that you haven't heard forever. We were at Ryan's Dads last night and this song came on the radio. (ohh... can you hear it. The Car's. Classic, I know)

It reminded me of that ride at Lagoon that is by the Colossus. (I can't think of its name, but it you set in a car and it goes around and around and it played music, 80's music when I used to go ...someone tell me the name, it is making me crazy...) anyway it reminded me of going to Lagoon in the summertime.

3. I love that my closets are finished...

2. I love the suspense of waiting for my sisters new baby. I am sooo excited. Giving birth is an amazing thing, but being there to watch someone give birth is a whole different feeling. It is beautiful and amazing and I am so grateful that my sister wants me to be there.

1. Oh... just in case these guys forget that I love them.

Check out this silly face... She just kills me...
Check out the attitude from this girl...She is growing up so fast...

Now for one thing that I don't love. The blizzard that happened last night. I really love spring and it just can't come fast enough...

Lost...

I love this show. It is madness and addicting and suspensful and I am HOOKED!

I love/hate that every episode old questions are answered and new questions are raised.
I LOVE IT!!

Does anyone watch it??
Who do you really think is the "bad one". Ben or Widmore???
I think it's Ben, but Ryan thinks it's Widmore???
Juillet and Sawyer???
Jack and Kate back on the island??
I don't know if I can wait 2 weeks???

I am...

I AM...so excited to meet (and take pictures of) my new nephew.

I WANT...my house to be finished!

I HAVE...always loved making things.

I KEEP...old magazines for way too long.

I WISH I COULD...keep my girls this age FOREVER!

I HATE...negative people.

I FEAR...loosing someone I love.

I HEAR...Dora on T.V.

I DON'T THINK...I could live without my girls.

I REGRET...not finishing college.

I LOVE...my husband more than words can say!!

I AM NOT...organized, and have come to the conculsion that I may never be.

I DANCE...while I make dinner every night.

I SING...loud in my car, sometimes with my sunglasses as my microphone just to see my kiddies smile.

I NEVER...go a day without talking to my mom and my sis.

I RARELY...go anywhere without my husband and my girls.

I CRY WHEN I WATCH...the Biggest Loser.

I AM NOT ALWAYS...on time, but I've delt with it. (now if Ryan only would)

I HATE THAT...I can't get everything done I want to in a day.

I'M CONFUSED ABOUT...politics.

I NEED...a mini-vacay =)

I SHOULD...be organizing a closet.

Just wanted to share some things about me. Try it. Write down the 1st thing that comes to your mind. We all want to know things about each other... that's why we blog stalk, right??

Tuesday, March 3, 2009

Hello lover...

This is why I love Easter.Who ever invented these... well I love who ever thought up this tasty little treat.

I have been in the middle of a project of gigantic proportion's. CLOSETS! I really have nothing to blog about except that my closets are almost organized, there is still no little baby for my sister, and I AM READY FOR SPRING.

I can't decided what to do in the girls room. I hate being indecisive. Green and Pink or Pink and Brown. I've got the painting and decorating bug and I need to make a decision so I can get BUSY!! And because I LOVE painting sooooo much (I really don't love it at all) , I 've decided on painting one wall in my room brown. (my husband is going to kill me!!!)

Oh... and look at this cute little face. This is my little niece, Graycee and Grandma. This was from the birthday party a couple of weekends ago. Little Graycee didn't like my camera or my flash. But aren't those chubby cheeks so kissable??
I tried shooting in RAW and this is one of the pics.
It's going to take some getting used to...
