So much going on...

Lately we have had so much going on.

Family reunions, Aniston's 7th birthday, family get togethers', George Strait concerts, and I have been doing photo shoots like crazy. I have so many things to blog about, but right now I am so busy editing pictures. I will be back later to catch-up on everything else.

I have decided to make a blog for my Photography, so hop on over if you would like to see what I have been up to.

I had the pleasure to meet...

The sweetest family {period}

I did a family photo shoot on the 3rd of July. A friend of mine had asked me to take her big, extended, family picture and I am so glad that I did.

It was the holiday weekend and as luck would have it, we were without any of our families. I was feeling a little sad about it and then I got to spend an hour or so with this amazing family!

I just have to say that I don't know if there is a cuter family of 4 little boys! These kids were so well behaved and so cooperative. They were so sweet with each other, each of them making sure the other was okay.

And then it was mom and dads turn. WOW! What a cute couple! Just by looking at them you could tell that they are so in love!

Shelli and Conrad, I have your pictures ready. I hope you like them. I really enjoyed meeting you both and your sweet little family. Thank you for letting me take your family pictures!!

Home...

Home is not where you live, but where they understand you...{christian.morganstern}
I've alway, ALWAYS been a small town girl. Even when I lived in a bigger city, I was a small town girl at heart.
The drive home from college would take us to the top of Cove Fort. Just as you are about to come down there stands a Sevier County sign. I remember waiting for the signs and passing by it I would take a deep breath in and at that moment I was home.
There are so many great things about living here. I love passing a corn field and watching it grow. I love the smell of fresh cut hay. I love watching kids ride their bikes to the swimming pool. I love that in the evening you can smell Mom's Cafe cooking all across main street. I love sitting out in the evening and hearing kids laughing, dogs barking, and crickets chirping. I love being able to see every star in the night time sky!

Wow...where has the time gone?

Has the 4th really passed? Is summer really almost over? This is crazy. I feel like I have been in a whirlwind for the last month. I have been so busy and borderline crazy!!

What have we been doing?

We had a fun filled 4th. We had a little BBQ on the 3rd with just the 4 of us. While I was working a photo shoot Ryan made yummy kabobs. We listened to some good music, we played with sparklers, and we pitched a tent in the backyard and slept out together. The girls thought it was so much fun and I thought it was quite relaxing, not having anywhere to go or anything to do ,but just be together.
The 4th we got up early and made it to the park before the lines were too long. The girls got to play all the games, got their hands tatooed, had a red and purple sno-cone for breakfast, and ran the races all before 11:00.
Ryan had decided to drive a swather in the parade for Wheelers. The girls were so excited. We brought it home, got it all washed and ready.
I tried and tried to get Emerson to take a nap. And despite my best efforts she refused.

We went to my grandparents for lunch, where we had Cafe Rio sweet pork salads. YUMMY!!

Then off to the parade we went. We weren't even on to Main street before my silly little girl was conked out. She slept through the entire parade.

We decided to go to the rodeo, where the wind blew for half of it and little Emerson wouldn't hold still, but we were together and happy and it was worth it, only because the fireworks were awesome. Emerson, of course fell asleep before they started and wasn't about to wake up for them.

Holidays make me realize how much family means to us. We weren't able to spend the 4th with our families this year, which made me a little sad, but I have my sweet husband and my beautiful girlies and my fantastic grandparents, who are always there for us, and that REALLY is all that we need!!

My brother-in-law, Chase is getting married and they asked me to take their engagment pics and wedding pics and I am so excited. They wanted to go to Fishlake to do them and so we met with them on the Sunday after the 4th. I love how they turned out. Stefanie is super cute and we are excited that she is going to be a part of our family. Here are a few that I didn't use for the invitations.

Monday after the 4th we started swimming lessons. Aniston was so excited to start them and she is doing so much better than last year. She is going under water and it seems like she is getting the hang of it.

After swimming lessons we made a quick trip to St. George for Jaxon's birthday. We went to this Pirate Adventure place for lunch and games and the kids had a great time.
Later that night all the kids and I slept out and they thought that it was so fun!! Then we turned right around and came home.

We have just been so busy that it doesn't even feel like summer. We haven't even been able to go camping.

We did get to go fishing on Saturday, where Ryan caught the biggest splake that we have ever seen.

The girls were silly in the boat, had liccorice for breakfast, a little nap in the bottom of the boat before the rain started pouring down. All in all, we have been busy, but we have been together, and that is really all that matters!
