"Anyone can be a Father...

but not everyone can be a daddy." I have read that a million times and until you see the man you love become a daddy, it doesn't really mean alot. When Ryan and I got married I knew that he would be a good dad because his dad was. We were married for 3 years and never really talked about when we would have kids. Then September 11 happened and everything changed. I remember being home the day after, trying to study for an anatomy test, watching the Fox News Network and feeling so upset and sick. Ryan was working and called me and said that he thought that we should have kids. "What", I said. I was in the middle of a full load at school and trying to work a full time job. But then I started thinking about it and it just felt right. So we talked about it and thinking that I wouldn't get pregnant for a while, we decided to try. 3 weeks later, I was pregnant with Aniston. We were thrilled. So flash to the day we get our ultrasound. I think that I knew she was going to be a girl, but I didn't want to say. Ryan, coming from a house full of boys, being hunters and fishermen, I thought that he would want a boy. We had the ultrasound and then he had to leave and get back to work, so we didn't get to talk about it. I called him on my way home and I asked him if he was okay with a girl. He said " yes, why wouldn't I be. Girls love to love and kiss", and he has said it ever since. That is why I love him more today than the day I married him. He is the sweetest, caring, most loving father. My girls are so lucky!!
Being fathers day and all it is only fitting that the father be doing what he wants to, and that is exactly what we did. Fishlake was so fun. We fished, and fished, and made yummy desserts in the dutch oven, and took walks, and watched the kids get filthy. Ryan loved his fathers day present, which was a new fishfinder.
And he also loved this present...
He loves catching these big fish and I love watching him. He gets so excited and then afterwords he is so wound that he can't stop shaking. It's pretty fun.

I just have to say happy fathers day to some other fathers in my life. I have the best grandpa ever. Ever since I can remember, he has always been there, supporting everything that my sister and I did and still do. He loves my girls so much. In the fall I was helping my grandma with a project and my grandpa had charged his walkie talkies for him and Aniston. They played hide and seek outside all day. It was so cute. Aniston loved it and will never forget that time they spent together. Emerson loves him so much. For a while, he was the only grandpa that she would love and kiss. She crawls on his lap every time we go there and they look at books together. I love him so much. I know that he reads this, so in case I don't tell you enough. Thanks for everything, for being there when I was little, thanks for being there when I was big, thanks for loving me and my girls so much. We love you!!
I haven't got to spend fathers day with my dad for years. He lives in St. George and it is hard to get to see him as much as we would like. He is the type of person that you can't help but like. He spoils my girls rotten every chance he gets. He has always been there for me and I love him for it. He is the strongest person I know, but cries at pictures of the girls wearing their t-ball stuff. I know that he loves me and I hope that he knows that I love him.
And to Chad, my moms husband. I hope that he knows that we appreciate him so much. He loves my mom and takes such good care of her. He is so cute with my girls.
I hope that he had a great fathers day! We think the world of him!! We are so lucky to have him as a step-dad.

I have a lot of pictures and a lot of stories, but I also have a lot of laundry and cleaning to do. So later in the week I'll be able to post more pics.
