Today I have a 1st grader. Aniston was so excited about starting the 1st grade. I was a little nervous. She told me last friday that she didn't want me to walk her to the class. (break my heart, already, child) But after the weekend she changed her mind. She wanted her dad to come with us and he was able to and it made it easier for me!! She was so sweet and so cute this morning while we were getting ready. She layed her clothes out on her bed last night, right next to her little backpack.
Am I really old enough to have a 1st grader, a child who goes to school all day? Am I okay with dropping her off first thing in the morning and then not seeing her until 3:00? What if she doesn't eat all of her lunch and she gets hungry? What if someone is mean to her? What if she gets lost on her way to the bathroom? What if her mother goes crazy with all the "what if's"??
I am sad to see her go, but also so excited to see what she learns everyday. I love that she loves school. I love that she wants to go. I just LOVE her!!
So I picked her up after school and totally quized her down. She had the biggest smile on her face when I got there. The 1st thing that she said was that she loved it!! (yeah, none of my fears happened) She said that she couldn't wait to go back. She told me about the lunch room, lunch, who she sat by, and that she got to put all of her stuff in her desk, and that her teacher was so nice. Wheew...we survived our 1st day of 1st grade =)

I know what you're saying. I am feeling all of those same fears about Kindergarten. Oh man this motherhood stuff is hard some times. I want to know how you did your header. Is it with PSE? Tips please I am sooo lost at making one of them. You're the best!!!
P.S. Aniston looks adorable!!!
Aniston looks so cute! I can't believe that she is old enough to go to first grade!
I was also wonderin about your header. I'm figuring out how to use my corel thing, but I was wondering where you get the background 'paper' for it?
Oh she is so cute. When you were writing about worrying that she would not eat enough, have friends etc, I was thinking that one day those same thoughts will run through my head.
I am in Texas for a week and had a FEW mintues for blogging. I knew you would have cute stuff on, so yours is one of the three I checked. Thanks for always keeping me entertained with your cute blog. Love the new header, the cute first grader (my mom is so sad she isn't in her class), and the AMAZING photos you took camping. I need to come have computer/PSE/ blogging lessons from you someday.
I so know how you feel!! I really haven't been one of those mom's who worry - a lot -- until this week! Kelton is going to Kindergarten next week and I am already worried about if he'll be ok on the bus for the long 30 minute ride, will he find his classroom ok, will he pick up on the lessons ok, etc. OHHHHH you worry so much as a mother. I wish now I had made life a little easier for my parents. But the journey is so much fun! LOL..Bree
Aniston looks so grown up with her bag all ready for school. So cute! I think it's a lot harder on mom than the kids. I know I'm going to worry about the same things too! I'm glad she loves it...and that mom survived too!
Aniston looks so grown up but I guess that is what she is doing, growing up. It's that unfortunate thing your kids do way to fast!!!
